As Education Intensive, we bring meaningful interdisciplinary curriculum to families, small groups and organizations--personally or with our expert partners. We can tutor or deliver a mini-course--or even a deep-dive project-based home school education. We love teaching as a form of connecting authentically with young people and we can't wait to help bring learning and thinking alive for you. We believe all students can learn if seen and heard clearly.

As lead personal essay writing coach, educator and editor at Essay Intensive, Sara Nolan holds space for the development of her students' personal excellence. She helps students get more comfortable in areas of vulnerability and more robust in their strengths. A vibrant person, she is known by her students for her honesty, receptivity and rigor.

Essay Intensive also teaches customized personal essay writing courses to students in 6th-12 grades; we partner with organizations across NYC, nationally and internationally. As practicing writers, life-long educators, and committed listeners, we believe telling our stories well can change us, and often changes our lives.
